Missouri Ozarks Landowners Fire Ecology Workshop Series


We are excited to be hosting 3 upcoming fire ecology workshops aimed to deliver fire science to interested landowners and members of the general public. These workshops will have indoor presentations and in-the-field discussion and are organized in partnership with The Nature Conservancy, National Wild Turkey Federation, Missouri Department of Conservation, Mark Twain National Forest, and the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.   • the historical role and ecology of fire in the Missouri Ozarks
  • why public land managers in southern Missouri use prescribed fire
  • how fire can be used to manage wildlife habitat
